What size bikini should i get?

Wow love, I'm a small girl and have only worn a Victoria Secret Bikini once (and loved it!!) I was borrowing a friends, and it was a medium, I know I need to buy myself a small... I would probably get an XS then if it's to small, go one size up... If it's to big... get it taken in
