Has anyone else gained weight through taking risperdal (risperidone)?

I used to have a wonderful figure but since taking these meds, I have ballooned to an obese weight. I have lost 20 kgs through change of diet and exercise but it has been slow compared to other people not on the tablets. It has taken me nearly two years to lose the weight. The medication allows me to live a normal life and gives me back a level of functioning and I would rather be healthier mentally than worry about my weight.
